Peer Review Process
-
Submission of Manuscript
Authors upload manuscripts through the journal's system. The journal editor then reviews the manuscript to ensure it meets basic criteria such as format, focus, and scope. -
Initial Editorial Screening
The editor conducts an initial assessment to ensure the manuscript is relevant to the journal's focus, has original content, and has potential contribution to the field. Manuscripts that do not meet the criteria will be rejected at this stage. -
Assignment to Reviewers
If the manuscript passes the initial assessment, the editor will appoint 2-3 reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. The review process can be conducted using one of two models:- Single-blind Review: The author's identity is known to the reviewer, but the reviewer's identity is kept confidential.
- Double-blind Review: The identities of the author and reviewer are kept confidential.
-
Review Process
Reviewers will evaluate the manuscript based on the following aspects:- Relevance: Does the topic align with the journal's scope?
- Research Quality: Are the methodology, analysis, and interpretation of the results adequate?
- Originality: Does this work add new knowledge?
- Clarity and Structure: Is the paper clearly organized and meets scientific standards?
- References: Are the references relevant and sufficient?
-
Reviewer Feedback
The reviewer submits a report that includes recommendations, such as:- Accepted: The manuscript can be accepted without revision.
- Minor Revision: The manuscript requires minor revision.
- Major Revision: The manuscript requires substantial revision.
- Rejected: The manuscript is rejected because it does not meet the journal's standards.
-
Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewer's report, the editor makes a final decision:- Sends feedback to the author.
- If revisions are needed, the author is given time to revise and re-upload the manuscript.
-
Revised Manuscript Submission
The author uploads the revised manuscript. The editor may decide to:- Resubmit to the reviewers for re-evaluation (if necessary).
- Conduct their own final review.
-
Final Decision and Publication
The editor makes the final decision (accept or reject). Accepted manuscripts will be processed for publication.
