Archiving Arrangements
JAAB currently uses the following arrangements to keep its published content accessible:
| Layer | Arrangement |
|---|---|
| Online issue archive | All published issues and articles are held on the journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS) website and are freely accessible. |
| Open metadata harvesting | Bibliographic metadata for all articles can be harvested through the journal's OAI-PMH endpoint. |
| Persistent identifiers | Articles display a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) on their article pages. |
| Open licence for copies | Articles are published under a licence that allows authors, libraries, and repositories to store and redistribute copies. |
Electronic Filing of Editorial Records
Every manuscript is handled entirely within the journal's OJS system, which keeps an electronic record of each stage:
- submitted files, revised versions, and the authors' responses to reviewers;
- reviewer assignments, review reports, and recommendations;
- editorial decisions and correspondence with authors sent through the system;
- copyedited files, production files, and the published article files (galleys) with their metadata.
Access to these records is limited by role. Authors see only their own submissions. Reviewers see only the manuscripts assigned to them. Confidential review information is visible only to the editors handling the submission.
Issue Archive
The journal archive lists every published issue, from Vol. 1 No. 1 (June 2019) to the current issue.
- Each issue page lists its articles. Each article page gives the abstract, keywords, references, DOI, licence, and a full-text PDF.
- The full text of archived issues can be read and downloaded without registration or charge.
- Back issues stay in the archive at their original addresses and are not removed when new issues are published.
Metadata Harvesting
The journal exposes its article metadata through the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH 2.0) at https://ojs.politeknikjambi.ac.id/jaab/oai. Libraries, repositories, and indexing services can use this endpoint to collect and keep records of JAAB articles independently of the journal website.
Persistent Identifiers
Each article page shows the article's DOI, in the form https://doi.org/10.37338/…. Readers and authors are asked to cite and link to articles by their DOI rather than by the website address, because a DOI is designed to remain stable even if the web address changes.
Deposit by Authors and Repositories
Because JAAB articles are published under the licence shown on each article page, copies of the published version may be kept outside the journal website. Authors are encouraged to deposit the published version of their articles in their institutional repository or another open repository, with a citation of the original publication and a link to its DOI. Such deposits create additional, independently held copies of the journal's content.
Integrity of the Archived Record
- The published version of an article is its version of record. It is not silently altered or deleted.
- Corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions are published as notices linked to the original article. The original stays in the archive.
- Where an article is revised after publication, the change is recorded in the article's version history.
