This page sets out which fees the Journal of Applied Accounting and Business (JAAB) charges authors, when they are charged, how to pay them, and how fees relate to editorial decisions.

Each accepted article is charged one Article Publication Fee, either Regular or Fast Track. The fee contributes to the cost of publishing the article.

When Payment Is Made

  1. Submission, screening, and peer review: no payment is requested.
  2. Decline: no fee is payable for a manuscript that is not accepted.
  3. Acceptance: after the editor has accepted the manuscript and notified the corresponding author, the fee is paid by bank transfer to the official account given in Payment Details.
  4. Publication: the article proceeds through copyediting and production and is published in the June or December issue.

The Article Publication Fee is paid by bank transfer to the publisher's official account:

  • Before transferring, check that the account name shown by your bank is LPPM POLITEKNIK JAMBI.
  • Include the submission ID and the corresponding author's name in the transfer note, so that the payment can be matched to the article.
  • Keep the transfer receipt and send it to the editorial office as instructed in the acceptance notification.

Fees and Editorial Decisions

The decision to accept or decline a manuscript is made on scholarly merit through the journal's double-blind peer review process.

Because the Article Publication Fee is charged only after acceptance, payment cannot influence peer review or the acceptance decision. This applies to both the Regular and the Fast Track fee. Choosing Fast Track does not shorten, waive, or relax peer review.

An accepted article remains subject to the journal's Publication Ethics policy, whether or not the fee has been paid.

Fraud Prevention

  • JAAB accepts payment only to the BTN account in the name of LPPM POLITEKNIK JAMBI shown above. The journal never asks authors to pay into a personal account or an account in any other name.
  • The journal requests payment only after acceptance. It does not use agents or intermediaries to collect fees.
  • A payment request made before acceptance, made by any other party, or naming a different account should not be paid. Please report it through the Contact page.
  • The fee that applies to a manuscript is the one published on this page at the time of submission.

Access for Readers

There is no charge for reading or downloading articles. Full texts are available in the journal archive without registration.
